All bamboo canes come in heavy duty hessian packaging for safe storage. Canes have been fumigated to ensure they are pest free and heat treated for the best tensile strength.

Tonkin canes are grown exclusively in a small provincial area of China which is considered the "champagne" region of bamboo and are not part of the Panda's diet due to the lower sugar content (which helps with the canes tensile strength).
